You can find very easy to learn about this instrument because the lessons are very simple to follow and very clear. This video is useful for people who don't know anything about music speacially with the easy examples. The manual is also useful, clear and easy to use it. Maybe the video could will be better if they have showed letters, text or something like that at the same time of lessons, on the screen. The video in general terms is clear, the sound is excellent and the person who play the bass guitar really know about it. Sure you have to get this if you want to play this instrument also because the price it's not expensive and it's worth.

I tried this on a Guitar Center store, next to $1200 guitars imported from Spain, and I've got to tip my hat to the Yamaha. It's got the flamenco sound right of the bat. Next to it, I couldn't tell the difference between another expensive 'flamenco' guitar from an expensive classical. The CG171SF seems to have its own peculiar flamenco sound. Really low action (great for falsettas), and it can get loud at the same time. Feels pretty light which makes you think it'll break! Highly recommended.

I have an expensive handmade flamenco guitar, but just bought this for practice. I'm very pleased and impressed. Most important is that the action is terrific (maybe a bit faster than on my other one!), and very responsive to rasgueos (strums) of various kinds, which is essential. While the sound is quite modest in tone and strength, that's certainly to be expected in this price range. This doesn't pretend to be a concert instrument. But it definitely has a snappy flamenco sound. In short, it's fun to play--good for practice, for carrying around, for learning.

Beautifully constructed and finished, amazing sound either acoustic or plugged.

This guitar is wonderful, just 2 weeks playing and it works very well. The woods give you a bright tone but sweet at the same time, the balance between bass and treble is wonderful. Very comfortable to play either with your fingers or with a pick.

When you play it acoustic it sounds incredible but when you plugged it is when you find its real value, the preamp itself sounds good but when you include the on board tube on the chain the sound is huge, sweetly compressed as only tubes can. No more boomy bass on a guitar, you can understand every detail. I have even played on some concerts with it and everyone at my band is amazed. Nice choice. I made an extensive research and found this like the one I was searching for... now that I own it, I can proudly say that I was right.

This is a very good buy, a wonderful guitar. Frets are very precise, the sound is truly good and a guitar feels like any of much more expensive ones. I have three other guitars (some were paid were more than this one) but this wonderful Yamaha is my favorite.

The photo showed four sets of mallets. It did not show the actual set that we received. We felt that this was misleading.

The mallets are of good quality since they are Vic Firth.

I am not much of a reviewer but this guitar has been the best purchase I have ever made. I was getting bored of guitar playing and one day while browsing other instruments at Guitar Center I found this one. I tried every nylon string guitar in the store, and this one had the crispest most natural tone. The bass is also sweet sounding. When I took this guitar home, I haven't had one day where I felt I was too bored to play. Several guitar elitists, that I know, tried out my guitar with hesitation, and were pleasantly surprised. I don't know what else to say. I guess, if you happen to be at Guitar Center, take a chance and look at one of these and play it for yourself. You'll be sure to love it, especially if you love flamenco / classical style.

Sweet! Consider that I first bought the Rodriguez C3 Flamenco guitar. It's old school and beautiful, but the action is high and it sounds like a classical guitar, sweet and warm. Not cool if you want flamenco sound. I took it back and got the Córdoba GK Studio. Yeah baby. This model has an excellent brassy flamenco sound with good volume unplugged- big bass, sharp mids and highs. The intonation is spot on. The action is set low at the factory, making it very playable out of the box. Flamenco freaks can pick it up right away and play Leyenda. O, and by the way, this guitar has a truss rod. Truss rods are a staple in steel string guitars for adjusting the neck, but conventional wisdom that nylon strings don't exert as much tension on the neck as steel strings do means that luthiers commonly don't include a truss rod in nylon string guitars.

The Fishman electronics are commendable. There's nothing amazing, but they sound clean and accurately equalized throughout the spectrum. I prefer these over the other two big names, L.R. Baggs and B-Band. The on-board tuner is a bonus.

There's one minor issue: You're going to need a pro setup, about $60.

First, there was some feathering of the frets, meaning the frets stick out just a hair past the fretboard. You can feel them as you move up and down the neck. This is easy to fix and is common among lower priced student guitars. I checked two other GK Studios and found them to be the same.

I also found some vibration at certain frequencies (played notes)- NOT fret buzz. It's very common for guitars with electronics to buzz under the bridge or elsewhere inside because the wire to the preamp or the output jack isn't taped down. I have some VERY nice guitars, and they had the same buzz. Again, an easy fix. To test, I leaned back a little as I played to move the wire away from the wood, and the buzz wuzz gone.

One other thing, a personal preference really, is the 50mm nut width. That's almost 2 inches, but I like a more traditional 52mm width, so I'm splittin hairs.

It comes with a gig bag, but you'll want a hardshell case. It took awhile to research, but the two best fitting cases I found are the Road Runner Classical HSC or better yet, the OSP Deluxe ABS Hardshell Case.

Many happy rasgueados!

This guitar is absolutely a joy to play. Sounds beautiful and has very low action. When I first picked up the guitar, I was amazed at how light and thin it was. I was primarily interested in purchasing a classical guitar, but I decided to purchase this flamenco style guitar because of the sound. Even though it has low action, I feel like the volume projects well. The on board tuner is a plus. Also, the neck is not as wide as some other classical guitars, so its a bit easier to play.

After looking at many reviews, I choose this guitar out of Cordobas other products. I looked at the difference between the other more expensive guitars produced by Cordoba and decided that it was basically the woods used. This guitar is light and plays very well. I played a 55RCE and although had very nice tones, it's resonance was not what is produced by the GK. If you're looking for a classical, try this at a store and you decide. I will agree with other reviews that this is a very nice guitar and especially for the price.
